Research Day

Each May, the Department of Medicine hosts a local Research and Quality Improvement Symposium where residents can showcase their work, receive awards, and learn from their colleagues. Winners present their work at the End of Year Grand Rounds.

Our residents engage in a wide range of innovative research projects that directly impact patient care and advance the field of internal medicine. From quality improvement initiatives that enhance health equity to original investigations in infectious disease, cardiology, and health systems science, our trainees demonstrate both curiosity and rigor in their scholarly work.

Many projects are developed in collaboration with faculty mentors and interdisciplinary teams, reinforcing a culture of inquiry and teamwork. The annual Research Symposium provides a platform to showcase these efforts, celebrating the creativity and dedication that our residents bring to academic medicine.
