Travel Grant Application
Residents and fellows interested in attending academic in-person, virtual conferences or off-campus electives may apply for a grant of up to $750 for domestic travel-related expenses and $1,000 for international travel-related expenses through the UCSF Fresno Resident Council. Grant funds CANNOT be used for education or training activity that is a part of an applicant’s clinical training requirement (e.g., required away rotations).
Grant applications are reviewed at the bi-monthly Resident Council meetings and recipients will be notified by email of the grant decision. Grant recipients must attend at least one Council meeting in the quarter in which the grant application is received in order to be eligible for grant funding.
If an application is approved, itemized receipts must be provided in order to be reimbursed. When traveling on business, it is the responsibility of the traveler to understand UCSF travel and entertainment policies in order to be reimbursed in a timely manner and understand which expenses will and will not be covered by the University. Click the link to review the UCSF Travel Policies.
Additionally, grant recipients must incorporate what was learned (at the conference or during the activity) into an educational presentation to benefit other house staff in their program or at UCSF Fresno.
Prior to applying for a Resident Council Travel Grant: you must provide a brief description to facilitate the approval process, using the SmartSheet Form.
