Rotations will be arranged in 2-4 week blocks for a total of 13 blocks per academic year, with 4 total weeks of vacation per year incorporated into Clinic Rotation.

  • Each resident has weekly team-based continuity except on nights, vacations, and away/call free.
  • Research is incorporated into various rotations over the 3 year curriculum and a research elective is available.
  • Each resident rotates locally in Child Development, Adolescent Medicine, Community Pediatrics and Public Health over the three years, which allows exposure to a strong base in the behavioral and social aspects of pediatrics. Child Mental Health is also being incorporated into the curriculum over the 3 years as per the new ACGME requirement going into effect for the residency class entering in June 2025.
  • The above is subject to change based on revsion/requirements of the ACGME, ABP, UCSF, UCSF Fresno, and Pediatric Residency Program.
