Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP)
Confidential employee assistance services provided at no cost to faculty, staff, residents, postdocs, and clinical fellows.
Headspace Care (formerly Ginger-App-Based Coaching, Therapy and Psychiatry)
Free, confidential on-demand coaching 24/7 via texting and 15 virtual therapy sessions per academic year. No one at UC will have knowledge you accessed this service.
ProtoCall Services
For urgent (non-emergent) 24/7 mental health support, residents and fellows may call (855) 221-0598. Linkage and follow up with FSAP as needed.
Reporting Mistreatment
UCSF Fresno Confidential Reporting – SAFE Reporting
A confidential way for trainees to report concerns related to duty hours, supervision, or other complaints.
Office of the Ombuds
A place to confidentially share your workplace situation with a skilled listener to help sort through your concerns. All conversations are confidential and off the record.
Office for the Prevention of Harassment and Discrimination
The Office for the Prevention of Harassment and Discrimination (OPHD) supports the University policy prohibiting discrimination and harassment of any person on the basis of their membership in a protected category.

CARE Advocacy Resources and Education
The CARE Program provides free, confidential support to any UCSF affiliate including students, staff, faculty, post docs and researchers who have experienced harassment, abuse or discrimination related to identity and to any UCSF affiliate who has experienced interpersonal violence such as sexual assault, dating/intimate partner violence, sexual harassment or stalking.
Caring for the Caregiver
Caring for the Caregiver is a peer support program made of UCSF Fresno residents and faculty that know how challenging residency can be. This program helps debrief the emotions of resident working life and combat the too prevalent issues of second victim syndrome and burnout.
