Why did you choose OBGYN?
I was drawn to OBGYN because of the unique mix of surgery, labor and delivery, and clinic. I love that we have an opportunity to work with patients across their lifetimes, and help them through some of the best and most challenging days of their lives. I am passionate about patient advocacy, and look forward to being part of a specialty in which advocacy is central to patient care.
Why do OBGYN at UCSF Fresno?
I was initially interested in UCSF-Fresno because of the program’s large volume, high acuity of care, and the diverse population of the Central Valley. During my interview, it became clear to me that the residents at UCSF-Fresno were friends and the kind of people I wanted to spend my long work days with!
Hobbies/Facts/Interests
My husband and I are both originally from the Central Valley, however met while we were living in Utah. We love camping and backpacking with our two dogs — and are looking forward to exploring the Sierras! As a previous journalist in public radio, I can say that I have a podcast suggestion for almost every mood/occasion. In addition to binging podcasts, love cooking, trying new beers at local breweries, and working in my yard.
