Rotations/Curriculum

ROTATIONS

Goal of Rotations:
The fellowship includes the ACGME approved Surgical Critical Care Residency

Burns:  Fellows will participate in inpatient, outpatient, pre and post hospital care of patients with thermal injury & other life threating wounds.

Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU): The Fellows will manage the patients in the surgical intensive care unit including preoperative, operative, and postoperative management as appropriate.

Trauma Surgery (TICU): Fellow will participate in comprehensive care of trauma and emergency general surgery patients on a graduated progression of responsibility basis. Fellow will make rounds and review in the intensive care unit inpatients with the attending staff.

Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU): The Fellows will participate in the management and assessment of the preoperative, operative, and postoperative care of the patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit.

Cardiovascular Critical Care:  Fellows will participate in the per-operative management of cardiothoracic patients with critical illnesses

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU):  The Fellows will acquire specialized expertise and knowledge in pediatric intensive care
