UCSF Fresno carries out its training and patient care charge through a network of affiliated partners. Our residents are exposed to a variety of practice styles including academic/hospital based practice, group practice and integrated healthcare delivery systems. The majority of our residency training takes place on our Fresno Campus and all other training facilities are located on the Clovis Community Medical Center campus that is 15-minutes away.
Fresno County is the center of health care between Los Angeles and Sacramento. The unique blend of the urban and rural communities we serve allows us to emphasize care of the whole patient in a multidisciplinary setting. Acute care hospitals, a level one trauma center, a regional burn center and numerous non-hospital programs serve a young and culturally heterogeneous population
UCSF Fresno serves as a hub for medical education and research in California’s San Joaquin Valley. Our high-tech facility features a multi-media auditorium, advanced A/V-supported conference rooms with full teleconferencing services, a digital medical research library, clinical skills lab with high-fidelity simulation equipment and digital-recording capabilities, and an outdoor amphitheater. In addition, UCSF Fresno includes a Clinical Research Center and staff who oversee the operation of faculty-led clinical trials and other research that addresses health issues specific to the Valley.
