Dr. Bilello completed her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Davis, and medical school at New York University School of Medicine. Her internal medicine internship and residency were completed at the University of Maryland in Baltimore and William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. She attended Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., to complete her pulmonary disease and critical care fellowships. She is ABIM board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, and critical care medicine. Her professional interests include lung cancer, sepsis, ARDS, weaning from mechanical ventilation, and medical education. She is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Chest Physicians. She holds memberships with the American Thoracic Society, the California Thoracic Society, and the Association of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Program Directors. She is an active member of the Association of Pulmonary and CCM Program Directors, In-Service Exam Committee, which involves writing and reviewing test questions for the pulmonary critical care medicine in-training exam. She is the physician leader for the Lung Cancer Screening Program, which involves outreach to physicians and the community to promote program awareness. In 2022, she was selected by the American Board of Internal Medicine to become a governance member of the Pulmonary Disease Board.
