Hobbies, facts and interests
In my free time I enjoy working out, being outdoors, playing music, wood working (building furniture), and going to church. I enjoy mentoring high school students and have been invested in teaching refugees English for several years. My favorite person is my husband, David, and we’ve been married for almost 4 years. I’m interested in learning how to backpack now that we’re living in the central valley.

Why Fresno?
UCSF Fresno was everything I was looking for in a program. I wanted to train at a program where I would see a wide variety of pathology, have great mentorship, and serve an underserved population. A love for people is at the center of my passion for medicine and this aligned well with the vision and reputation of UCSF Fresno. The leadership at this program made me feel welcomed as a learner and confident in the training I’d receive from day one.

What are your other career interests (specialties/fellowships)?
I am interested in both hospitalist medicine and critical care.

What are your research interests?
I am interested in growing in my research abilities and understanding while training at UCSF Fresno. I am most interested in studying the interaction between medicine and the patient experience.
