Cynthia Cortez

As the Research Coordinator, Cynthia focuses on facilitating all resident and faculty investigations, monitoring resident compliance with the research curriculum milestones, organizing our annual research day and participating in any multi-disciplinary projects/grants. In addition, Cynthia helps coordinate and oversee research volunteers in the OBGYN department and supporting faculty who are mentoring students from UCSF Fresno’s pipeline programs such as the Doctor’s Academy and Summer Biomedical Internship.

Prior to returning to her hometown of Fresno, she completed a bachelor’s degree in biology and health policy from Harvard University and earned a Health Professions Certificate from UC Berkeley Extension.
