Why UCSF Fresno: I chose to join UCSF Fresno for my residency because of its unique balance of academic excellence, diverse clinical exposure, and strong community focus. The program offers the rigor and prestige of UCSF training while providing hands-on experience with a wide range of pathologies in two different campuses. I was particularly drawn to the supportive learning environment, approachable faculty, and strong mentorship culture that fosters both professional growth and personal well-being. Additionally, the program’s emphasis on research, teaching, and leadership development aligns perfectly with my long-term goal of becoming a well-rounded physician who contributes meaningfully to patient care and medical education.
What are your career interests: I am interested in pursuing a career in Cardiovascular Medicine. Since I joined UCSF Fresno, I have seen immense support and guidance from the program leadership to help me reach my goal.
