Why did you choose OBGYN?
My decision to pursue a career in Obstetrics and Gynecology stems from a deep commitment to women's health and a desire to be present during some of the most transformative moments in a person’s life. OBGYN offers a unique blend of surgical skill, long-term patient relationships, and the profound privilege of guiding individuals through milestones like childbirth, fertility, and beyond. I’m inspired by the opportunity to not only provide medical care, but also to advocate for and empower patients as they navigate their reproductive health.
Why do OBGYN at UCSF Fresno?
I chose UCSF Fresno OBGYN because of the incredibly supportive and collaborative environment I experienced firsthand during my away rotation in my fourth year. From the faculty to the residents, everyone was genuinely invested in teaching and fostering growth, which made a lasting impression on me. I was also drawn to the unique and diverse patient population the program serves, which offers meaningful opportunities to care for underserved communities. Additionally, the high-volume, high-acuity clinical environment ensures rigorous training and exposure to a broad spectrum of pathology, elements I believe are essential for developing into a confident, well-rounded OBGYN.
Hobbies/Facts/Interest
Outside of medicine, I find joy in using my hands to create. Whether I'm quilting, painting, or tending to my garden, I love activities that allow me to be both creative and grounded. I'm always happiest when I'm outdoors, whether it's working with plants, going for a walk, or simply soaking in fresh air and sunshine.
