Hobbies, fun facts and interests
You can usually find me watching Parks and Rec, The Office, Modern Family, or Harry Potter with my husband on relaxing evenings. I also love to read novels and memoirs and some of my recent favorites include Homegoing and The Distance Between Us. We enjoy BBQing and swimming with our black lab, Rover, at Shaver Lake, just outside of Fresno. And last, but not least, my favorite hobby is spending time with my husband, parents, siblings, nieces and friends!

Why Fresno?
The Central Valley is home for me. I grew up in Clovis, just adjacent to Fresno. Returning and training here for residency is an incredible honor. Communities in Fresno are diverse and beautiful. And the Central Valley is also in dire need of physicians from all specialties, especially psychiatry (only 7.1 psychiatrists for every 100,000 individuals)!

For these reasons and more, I was so very thrilled to learn about the UCSF Fresno Psychiatry Residency program. The program has evolved over the years with great intention and emphasis on your learning and well-being. The leadership and faculty are incredibly supportive and I cannot say enough good things about my co-interns!
