It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Joan Voris, MD, former Associate Dean for UCSF Fresno. Dr. Voris spent her entire career at UCSF Fresno as a practicing pediatrician, Director of the Ambulatory Clinics and Associate Dean. She was the longest serving Associate Dean in Fresno history having served from September 2002 until her retirement in January 2015. She oversaw the unprecedented growth in the training programs with many new fellowships and an increase in resident numbers by 50 percent. She oversaw the move of the program from University Medical Center to Community Regional Medical Center in 2007 and the opening of the Ambulatory Care Center in 2010. She will be missed tremendously by all of us at UCSF Fresno. Our condolences and deepest sympathies go out to her children, grandchildren and entire family.
