UCSF Fresno Doctors Academy Accepting Applications for 2026 School Year

The UCSF Fresno Office of Health Career Pathways (OHCP) is accepting applications for its Doctors Academy programs at Caruthers and Sunnyside high schools. Applications are currently open with a deadline to apply by Dec. 1, 2025.  

Interested students may get more information and access the online application at https://doctorsacademy.ucsf.edu/ and click on the How to Apply tab. 

Staff members are available to answer questions and provide in-person assistance with the online application. 

Eighth-grade students interested in applying to the Caruthers Doctors Academy programs and who live outside the Caruthers Unified School District will be required to obtain an inter-district transfer approval. Applications to the Sunnyside Doctors Academy are only open to eighth grade students within the Fresno Unified School District and must submit a transfer form to the Fresno Unified School District Transfer Office by the Dec. 1, 2025, deadline. Information regarding our middle school program, UCSF Fresno Junior Doctors Academy, will be released in early spring 2026 on https://doctorsacademy.ucsf.edu/.
