Why did you choose OBGYN?
Becoming an OB/GYN has been a dream of mine since I was a child, and it still feels surreal that it's becoming a reality! I’ve always been interested in women’s health and the ability to support patients through some of the most vulnerable and empowering moments of their lives. I love the diversity that OB/GYN offers including managing complex gynecologic pathologies, performing procedures in the operating room, and advocating for reproductive justice and equitable access to care. I get to be a clinician, surgeon, advocate, and educator all in one field and how amazing is that! Most importantly, I am committed to patient-centered care and being a trusted partner in my patients' healthcare decisions.
Why do OBGYN at UCSF Fresno?
I love UCSF Fresno for its strong commitment to serving medically underserved communities. During medical school, I worked with patients in the Inland Empire and found great fulfillment in providing care to populations facing barriers to accessing medical services. Fresno’s patient population reminded me of those same communities, and I felt immediately connected to the mission of UCSF Fresno. During my Sub-I here, I experienced firsthand the supportive, collaborative, and inclusive learning environment. The residents, faculty, nurses, and staff at CRMC created a space where I felt encouraged to grow, ask questions, and challenge myself. Additionally, as someone who values mentorship, I was inspired by the guidance I received and excited by the opportunities to mentor and educate others. I knew UCSF Fresno would be a place where I could thrive both personally and professionally and continue to make a meaningful impact.
Hobbies/Facts/Interest
I come from a big family who I love more than anything and am very close toon both my mom’s and dad’s side. I love spending time with them whenever I get the chance; they’re my best friends, and we always have a blast when we're together! In my free time, I enjoy going out to eat, cooking, going to Costco (best place ever), watching reality TV shows, walking outdoors, and cycling!
