Why did you choose OBGYN?
I chose OBGYN because it combines everything I love about medicine. The dynamic nature of the specialty allows me to care for patients in a variety of settings, from the clinic to the operating room to labor and delivery. I value building long-term relationship with patients throughout different stages of their lives while also providing hands-on procedural and surgical care. I am passionate about caring for an advocating for women, particularly those from underserved communities, and I am inspired by the opportunity to empower patients through some of their most vulnerable and transformative moments. Above all, I LOVE delivering babies. It is a privilege to support patients through pregnancy and childbirth and to share in one of the most meaningful experiences of their lives. The combination of continuity, advocacy, surgery and obstetrics makes OBGYN the perfect fit for me.
Why do OBGYN at UCSF Fresno?
After spending much of my clinical training in Fresno County, I knew I wanted to continue serving the Central Valley. During my audition rotation at UCSF Fresno, I was drawn to the program's commitment to caring for underserved communities, the incredible clinical volume, and the supportive culture among residents and faculty. The residents made me feel like I was part of the team and that they were invested in my education over the 4 weeks. I appreciate the opportunity to learn in a fast-paced and hands-on women's environment while caring for a diverse patient population with complex medical needs. Most importantly, I found a program who se values aligned with my own passion for women's health advocacy and community-centered care, with a strong emphasis on resident wellness.
