Hobbies, fun facts and interests
I enjoy spending most of my time in the mountains! Mainly backcountry skiing, ski mountaineering and trail running, but also alpine climbing. I bike commute as much as I can and cook whenever possible. My academic interests include wilderness medicine, EMS direction, ultrasound and critical care.
Why Fresno?
UCSF Fresno simply had all of the components that I felt were important for my EM training experience: a well-respected and long running four year EM program at a high-volume level 1 trauma/burn center with a large catchment area of relatively underserved folks. The NPS Parkmedic program, EMS training, MedEd opportunities and access to the Sierras/Yosemite Valley also played a significant role in my decision.
