Why did you choose OBGYN?
I love working with women, and helping them feel comfortable in aspects of healthcare that can feel very daunting. I also love getting to combine clinical, emergency, and surgical skills, and getting to work with a very diverse patient population.

Why do OBGYN at UCSF Fresno?
I knew I wanted a program with a very diverse patient population where I would have the opportunity to learn from complex patient presentations. I was particularly interested in working with Latina women, and Fresno serving women from the entire Central Valley area was perfect for that. I also love to spend time doing various outdoor adventures, and wanted to live somewhere with mountains and beach nearby. After my interview day, I really fell in love and felt like I had everything I needed here to succeed in residency..

Hobbies/Facts/InterestI was born in Nicaragua, moved around and lived in several different countries growing up. I play Ultimate Frisbee and enjoy rock climbing, surfing and snowboarding, and am excited to take advantage of the national parks close by!
