Why did you choose OBGYN?
I fell in love with OBGYN during my 3rd year core rotation. I had the opportunity to work with an amazing attending who taught me how to trust myself and find my internal compass while caring for patients. I enjoyed the fact that I was able to provide surgical, procedural, and medical management all within one specialty. Beyond the diversity of the field, I wanted to provide care for women throughout their different phases of life. As their physician, I will continue to hold space for my patients during their most vulnerable, challenging, and exciting moments. I will continue to challenge myself, expand my knowledge, and advocate for my patients' needs. I am so grateful to have chosen a specialty that is deeply fulfilling in every aspect.
Why do OBGYN at UCSF Fresno?
I chose UCSF Fresno for my training due to the diverse patient population and the positive impact that the hospital has on the Central Valley. Having completed my clinical rotations in an underserved region, I knew that I wanted to pursue medical training at a hospital that exemplified true leadership in expanding access to healthcare, and I was lucky enough to find that program here. IN addition, I truly enjoyed my experience during my sub-internship. I witnessed firsthand the collaboration of the team, the supporting environment of the program, and the rigorous exposure to complex patient pathology. I saw myself flourishing and growing both as a person and as a physician at UCSF Fresno and I am excited to be a part of this incredible team.
Hobbies/Facts/Interest
I immigrated to the United States in 2004 with my family and I am grateful for the sacrifices my grandparents and parents made for my brothers and me to achieve our dreams. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and fiancé. I love to read books (my TBR list is growing), crochet, go to the gym and listen to podcasts. These hobbies allow me to unwind and explore my creativity.
