Hobbies, Facts, and interests:
I enjoy traveling and often like to explore new places by taking long walks and trying out local cuisine. I'm also a big football/soccer fan; it's the only sport I'll watch, play or video game.
Why UCSF Fresno?
As someone relatively new to the US, I prioritized having a supportive program leadership and co-residents. The strong sense of diversity and community here resonated with me strongly during interview season. In addition, working in a medically underserved region, while being exposed to a breadth of pathology that is not commonly seen elsewhere, made it a very appealing place to train in.
What are your career interests (fellowships, etc.)?
I am still undecided but will be using the first few months of residency to get a deeper understanding of what the different sub-specialties look like on a day-to-day basis, which will help me explore what I see myself doing in the long run.
What are your research interests?
Social determinants of health and global health.
