Hobbies, Fun Facts, and Interests:
If it involves tasty food, good vibes, and a little adventure, I'm in, especially if it's a new restaurant I haven't logged on Beli yet. And yes, I will absolutely wait in line for Ampersand!
Most of my favorite activities involve friends and family, whether we're trying a new spot for dinner, hosting TV show watch parties, or getting way too competitive over a board game. I also love staying active, so you'll usually find me at the gym, out on a run, in the pool, or getting my steps in on a hike. Volleyball and pickleball are my go-to sports, and darts has somehow become one of my favorite random hobbies. Winters are for snowboarding, and lately I've been trying to enter my golf era, mostly because Fresno's golf courses are too good not to.
Music is a big part of my life too. I love to sing, I'm (attempting to) get back into DJing, and if there's an EDM or R&B festival anywhere in the country, there's a good chance I'm making the trip. Oh, and if you ever want to go to Legoland, let me know because I have a lifetime membership.
Why Fresno?
When I reflected on where I wanted to spend the next few years training to become a psychiatrist, I kept thinking back to the kind of community I wanted to be part of. I was looking for a program where residents genuinely enjoy working together, support one another, and create an environment that feels more like family than just coworkers. UCSF Fresno gave me that impression from the very first day I interviewed, and since starting residency, that impression has only gotten stronger.
