Ashley Perea joined UCSF Fresno in 2018 as a Research Coordinator and, in 2024, joined the Department of Pediatrics as a Residency Program Coordinator.
In her role, Ashley works closely with the Program Director and her co-coordinator, Jesus Pimentel, to support the day-to-day administration and coordination of the Pediatrics Residency Program. Her primary areas of focus include curriculum and recruitment, helping to coordinate educational activities and support the recruitment and onboarding of new residents while ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements.
Ashley also serves as a liaison between the residency program and the UCSF Fresno Graduate Medical Education office, other training programs, participating hospitals, and regulatory offices. She enjoys collaborating with residents, faculty, and program leadership and takes pride in creating a welcoming, organized, and supportive experience for both current and prospective residents.
