
Claire Gibson, MD
Dr. Gibson is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at UCSF who practices primary care and teaches at the UCSF branch campus in Fresno. After serving as a chief resident in the UCSF Pediatric Residency, Dr. Gibson worked as a neonatal hospitalist at UCSF prior to returning to her hometown of Fresno. She is passionate about newborn medicine, community health, and medical education. Dr. Gibson has additional training in the treatment of substance use disorder and is an advocate for families and newborns affected by the condition. She loves working with medical students and resident physicians and has sought out opportunities to improve her skills as a medical educator. She is joining the 2025-2026 cohort of the UCSF Teaching Scholars Program.
