Why did you choose OBGYN?
Obstetrics and Gynecology perfectly orchestrates all the facets of medicine I wanted to practice into one field – the dexterity and precision required for surgery, the establishment of long-term relationships with patients, and the platform to identify and address the social determinants of health affecting our patient population. I strive to protect women’s reproductive rights and to increase access to medical care to the medically disenfranchised. As an Ob/gyn you experience first-hand how exquisitely persevering, yet fragile life is; how incredibly resilient, yet vulnerable women are, and what a difference it can make to be in the care of a physician you wholeheartedly trust as your confidant and advocate.

Why do OBGYN at UCSF Fresno?
As a medical student, I had the opportunity to work alongside the residents at UCSF Fresno and was amazed by not only their skill level, but the level of camaraderie amongst the residents. Their ability to handle high acuity patients confidently early in their training was truly inspiring. Community Regional Medical Center cares for an incredibly high volume of patients, many of which are high risk and present with a wide variety of pathologies you wouldn’t see anywhere else. This program truly prepares you to have the skills necessary to practice anywhere and to manage even the most complicated patients.

Hobbies/Facts/Interest
I grew up in Laguna Niguel, CA, a small beach town in southern Orange County. After receiving my undergraduate degree in Human Biology from UC San Diego, I pursued my graduate degree in Pharmacology at Georgetown University. Living in Washington DC helped cultivate my love of culture, travel, music, and dance. I take every opportunity to travel somewhere new, whether within the USA or abroad, to fully immerse myself in the local culture, eat through the city, and experience life as the locals do.
