Why did you choose OBGYN?
I chose OB/GYN because it combines every thing I love about medicine into one specialty: building long-term relationships with patients, performing curative surgeries, fast-paced emergency situations, and preventative women’s health care. I also love the variety of being able to care for patients in all stages of their lives, from adolescents to aging adults.

Why do OBGYN at UCSF Fresno?
UCSF Fresno is one of the only tertiary care centers between San Francisco and Los Angeles, and as such, is super busy! In this program, I know that I will get the hands-on experience I need to become a well-trained surgeon, and ultimately will be able to take care of the most complex and interesting patients. I also wanted to join a residency program devoted to reducing health disparities in underserved communities; there are a lot of opportunities here to advocate for women’s reproductive health.

Hobbies/Facts/Interest
I grew up in Irvine, CA and have lived in Los Angeles and Philadelphia for undergrad and med school. My hobbies include taking care of my cats (Quinoa & Barley), singing (proud alumnus of Signature A Cappella @UCLA), and dancing!! I also love hiking/camping/backpacking and am always down to go to Yosemite or any of the nearby national or state parks.
