Why Fresno?
As a medical student I spent two years in Bakersfield to do my clinical rotations. During that time, I fell in love with the central valley and its diverse population. Similarly, Fresno has a lot to offer, especially when it comes to the diversity of pathology and the ability to provide for the underserved population. Further, having been a part of the UC system in my undergraduate years, made the choice of UCSF Fresno an easy one.

What are your other career interests (specialties/fellowships)?
I am currently trying to have an open mind regarding which fellowship I will be pursuing and hoping that the first year of residency will help me make that decision. Having said that, I have high interest in the fields of cardiology, pulmonary & critical care, and gastroenterology.

What are your research interests?
Mechanical circulatory support devices, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation.
