Why Fresno?
I did many of my clinical rotations in the Central Valley and was drawn to its unique diversity of people living in the area. The patient population includes a wide breadth of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds that allow for strong clinical training. When I rotated and interviewed here, I appreciated how personable and supportive the faculty were, as well as how happy the residents were with the program. The program has a strong emphasis on resident education/training and well-being, and it showed. I am so happy to have matched here and I feel very fortunate to be a part of this program. Also, I love the outdoors and appreciate how close Fresno is to a variety of natural attractions, as well as its proximity to the Bay Area and SoCal. And nothing beats Fresno State sweet corn!
