Why did you choose OBGYN?
Prior to medical school and throughout my medical education, I have always had a strong desire to pursue OBGYN. Supporting other women has always been a part of who I am, and my experiences during my 3rd year clinical rotations solidified my decision to practice this diversified specialty. I am eager to practice a specialty that allows me to foster trusting relationships through continuity of care, and aiding women through some of the most challenging and happy stages of their lives. I love the diversity of the field- from going to surgery, deliveries, clinic, all while having continuity of care with patients!

Why do OBGYN at UCSF Fresno?
The program at UCSF Fresno has everything I wanted in a residency and more. I love teaching, so knowing that this hospital has various medical students rotating every month was appealing to me. It was especially important for me to find a program where resident graduates are both competent and confident in managing diverse patients with complex health issues. With the high volume and acuity of patients as the referral center for a 100 mile radius in San Joaquin Valley, I am certain that this program will provide me with an optimal educational experience. Last but not least, I felt very welcomed by the faculty, residents, and staff in this program when I did my Sub-I here.

Hobbies/Facts/Interest
I am from San Diego, CA and love being around nature, food, and my big Lebanese family. I’m a huge foodie and spend a lot of my free time creating plant-based meals that I share through my online platform, @Maronated and Maronated.org.

I also love exercising! Most recently, I have been playing tennis, pickleball, running, and lifting weights.
Lastly, I also enjoy traveling, learning new languages, and immersing myself in various cultures. I have studied 5 languages and traveled to over 30 different countries.
